Business Controller, Platforms and Ecosystem Controllership

About the role

Google is seeking an experienced Business Controller to join the Platforms and Ecosystems (P&E) Business Controllership team and support APAC Finance. You will partner with product, partnership, engineering, legal, tax and other functions to provide financial insight and drive efficient, data‑driven decision making for one of Google’s fastest‑growing businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and analyze financial and budgetary reports for P&E and APAC Finance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional and international teams to ensure accurate accounting and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Identify process improvements, automate reporting, and enhance financial controls.
• Support strategic initiatives by delivering actionable financial analysis and visualizations.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, communicating findings and recommendations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a quantitative field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 7 years of experience in accounting, finance or controllership, preferably in a public accounting firm or multinational corporation.
• Professional accounting accreditation such as CPA or CA is preferred.
• Proven ability to work autonomously in a fast‑paced, change‑oriented environment.
• Strong problem‑solving, business judgment and executive communication skills.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems, specifically SAP.
• Ability to write and run data queries using SQL.
