CMP Manager – Semiconductor Process Lead

About the role

SSMC is seeking a CMP Manager to lead a multidisciplinary engineering team in a state‑of‑the‑art semiconductor fab. The role focuses on sustaining and improving process capability, equipment availability, and overall manufacturing performance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and mentor Senior Engineers, Engineers, and Associate Engineers to meet module goals.
• Develop and execute plans that exceed manufacturing performance indices.
• Ensure robust processes, high equipment uptime, and clear operating procedures.
• Forecast and budget test wafers and related process expenditures.
• Drive work‑improvement initiatives to reduce defect density, lower costs, and boost throughput, OEE and Cpk.
• Liaise with internal and external customers to improve yield, quality and throughput.
• Implement SPC, FMEA and DOE as part of Total Quality Control.
• Lead continuous‑improvement QIT programs and oversee recipe management, control and documentation.
• Conduct regular appraisals, career‑path mapping, training and feedback sessions.
• Perform fab audits, ensure housekeeping and safety compliance.

Required profile

• PhD, MSc or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or Physics.
• 6–10 years of wafer‑fabrication experience, including at least 3 years in equipment or development roles.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership abilities.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
