About the role

The Commis will support the culinary team in the Tong Dim kitchen at Marina Bay Sands, ensuring high‑quality food production and adherence to safety standards. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience in a dynamic, multicultural hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Follow instructions from Chef de Partie and Sous Chefs to prepare and present dishes.
  • Monitor food production to ensure compliance with recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and proper storage of all food items using FIFO practices.
  • Report maintenance issues and health‑safety concerns promptly.
  • Participate in company training and uphold the hotel’s grooming and customer‑service standards.

Required profile

  • 1‑3 years of experience in a culinary or kitchen environment.
  • Degree, diploma or certification in Culinary Arts.
  • Willingness to work any shift, including weekends and holidays.
  • Professional appearance and strong work ethic.
