Communications and Public Affairs Manager – APAC

About the role

CHAGEE is seeking an independent, proactive Communications and Public Affairs Manager for the APAC region. The role blends public relations and government relations, supporting brand visibility, media outreach, and stakeholder engagement across multiple markets.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, refine, and localise press releases, briefing notes, pitches, and Q&A statements.
• Coordinate regional PR calendars for product launches, market entries, cultural exhibitions, and key brand moments.
• Support proactive pitching across lifestyle, F&B, business, travel, culture, and mainstream media.
• Manage day‑to‑day media enquiries and maintain strong media relationships in priority markets.
• Assist with media preview events, grand openings, interviews, and press trips, including travel to key markets as needed.
• Prepare weekly PR performance reports, manage press release dissemination, media lists, and PR administrative tasks.
• Track budgets, agency hours, and support event logistics, RSVPs, media gifting, and asset preparation.
• Develop holding statements, FAQs, and reactive responses for issues management.
• Conduct stakeholder mapping, monitor regulatory developments, and coordinate government and industry association events.

Required profile

• 6‑8 years of experience in PR, policy communications, or government affairs.
• Proven ability to handle multiple markets or regional stakeholders.
• Strong media and government relations skills, with experience in brand visibility initiatives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of drafting and localising content.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple stakeholders.
