DSLS Manager – Early Childhood & Intervention Services

About the role

The DSLS Manager will lead a multi‑disciplinary team within the Development Support and Learning Support programme, overseeing initiatives in Early Childhood (EC) and Early Intervention (EI). Reporting to the Head of Allied Health, Children Services, the role focuses on preparing preschools to become DSLS‑ready and fostering collaborations with community organisations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop short‑ and long‑term strategic plans to grow the programme, guided by senior leadership.
• Establish and maintain operating, control, and administrative policies and procedures.
• Ensure operations meet service standards, corporate governance, and funder KPIs.
• Lead the DSLS team to deliver high‑quality services for clients with learning and developmental needs.
• Act as primary liaison with stakeholders, submitting required statistics to funding bodies.
• Engage external institutions and community partners to support clients and caregivers.
• Plan and manage assets, ensuring compliance with taxes, licensing, safety and other regulations.
• Develop income‑generation strategies, monitor expenditure and expand community outreach.
• Oversee audits by MSF, ECDA, and NCSS as needed.
• Support staff career progression, onboarding, performance evaluation and training needs.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, caregivers and public authorities.
• Explore and sustain collaborations with preschools, VWOs, funding bodies and corporations to secure programme funding.
