Duty Engineer – Singapore

About the role

The Duty Engineer is responsible for delivering aircraft maintenance services for Qatar Airways in Singapore. The role supports operations by applying specialised knowledge to ensure optimal fleet performance and timely completion of complex tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve quality and productivity targets for each maintenance task.
• Plan activities, manage equipment and tooling according to procedures.
• Communicate with all Qatar Airways affiliated parties and oversee station audits.
• Release work completed by self or mechanics, ensuring compliance with company standards.
• Monitor health, safety and environment requirements at all times.
• Manage shift handovers and inform incoming shifts of operational impacts.
• Utilise ground time to clear defects and perform scheduled tasks in liaison with the Maintenance Operations Control Centre.
• Provide AOG support at Singapore Airport and travel for aircraft recovery as required.
• Plan and execute line‑maintenance services for partner airlines under contractual agreements.

Required profile

• Relevant college or university qualification.
• Minimum two full Qatar Airways main‑fleet EASA/ICAO/QCAA licences and approvals.
• Licensed engineer authorised to work on foreign carrier aircraft types.
• Holds EASA Part‑66 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer certification.
