Group Financial Controller

About the role

The Group Financial Controller will lead the preparation and presentation of consolidated financial statements for a multi‑entity organization, ensuring compliance with IFRS and regulatory requirements across all jurisdictions. This senior position reports to the Board and works closely with finance, tax, and audit partners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close, preparing consolidated IFRS financial statements for the Group and its subsidiaries.
• Design, implement and maintain the Group’s financial governance and internal control framework, conducting risk‑based reviews.
• Oversee tax compliance and transfer‑pricing matters across all operating jurisdictions.
• Drive finance transformation initiatives, including process automation, reporting efficiency and data‑quality improvements.
• Manage external auditors, finalize statutory audits and prepare Board reporting packages.
• Lead, mentor and develop a multi‑entity finance team, fostering a culture of accountability.

Required profile

• Degree in Accountancy, Finance or equivalent; CA/CPA qualification preferred.
• 15 + years of progressive finance experience, including at least 5 years in a group or multi‑entity controllership role.
• Background in a Big 4 or comparable professional services firm combined with commercial experience.
• Strong technical accounting expertise in consolidation, M&A accounting and complex IFRS application.
• Proven track record managing external auditors and statutory audits.
• Fluency in English and Chinese.
