Head of Infrastructure Operations & Technology Risk

About the role

The client, a regulated global financial institution headquartered in Asia, is seeking a senior technology leader to own end‑to‑end infrastructure updates and deployments across the enterprise. This high‑visibility role bridges infrastructure operations, vendor delivery, and technology risk, ensuring alignment with strict regulatory expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the definitive process owner for critical infrastructure operations and deployments, enforcing governance and standard blueprints.
• Hold outsourced infrastructure service providers accountable to rigorous SLAs, drive continuous improvement, and lead executive‑level performance reviews.
• Partner with security teams to prioritize vulnerabilities, manage risk acceptance, and maintain audit‑ready operational controls.
• Act as the central escalation point between infrastructure, security, and application teams to resolve sequencing conflicts and downtime disputes.
• Produce outcome‑based metrics for senior management, highlighting coverage, SLA breaches, and enterprise risk exposure.
• Lead strategic transformation to eliminate operational fragmentation, automate pipelines, and establish a mature target‑state operating model.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience (Director/VP/SVP) overseeing large‑scale infrastructure operations, technology risk, and vulnerability management.
• Deep expertise governing Tier‑1 outsourced technology service providers with a track record of enforcing contract and SLA compliance.
• Strong understanding of technology risk frameworks, audit requirements, and financial‑sector regulatory expectations.
• Prior experience in banking, financial services, or similarly regulated environments.
• Excellent communication skills to translate complex risk data into clear narratives for C‑level executives and regulators.
