Internal Auditor – Compliance

About the role

The Internal Auditor (Compliance) will evaluate and strengthen internal control frameworks across the organisation, ensuring risks are identified and mitigated. This role reports directly to senior management and the Audit Committee, providing clear, risk‑focused insights.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls across business units and recommend improvements.
• Identify key risks, monitor implementation of audit recommendations, and track remediation progress.
• Develop and execute the annual internal audit plan based on enterprise risk assessments.
• Perform financial, operational, compliance, and IT audits in line with professional standards.
• Prepare detailed audit working papers, reports, and risk‑focused presentations for management.
• Review compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and listing rules.
• Support the Audit Committee and management in enhancing corporate governance practices.
• Provide advisory support on internal control enhancements and participate in special investigations or ad‑hoc audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as CIA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent are advantageous.
• 2–5 years of relevant internal audit experience; experience in compliance, risk management or corporate governance is a plus.
• Strong report‑writing ability with clear, concise presentation of findings.
• High analytical aptitude, attention to detail and ability to identify root causes.
• Demonstrated integrity, objectivity and professionalism.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
