IT Support Engineer – Level 1

About the role

The IT Support Engineer Level 1 provides front‑line technical assistance for both on‑site and remote users, ensuring the stability and security of the client’s IT environment. You will be involved in hardware deployment, network configuration, system maintenance, and incident response.

Key responsibilities

• Assess sites, plan layouts, and perform on‑site testing and deployment of infrastructure components.
• Configure and install network hardware such as switches and routers, and set up servers.
• Monitor, maintain and troubleshoot network and system performance to meet service level targets.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls across local and cloud platforms.
• Implement backup, disaster recovery, firewall and antivirus solutions, and respond to security incidents.
• Provide end‑user support, create user guides, and deliver training on applications and technologies.
• Document configurations, support activities, and project progress; collaborate with internal teams and vendors.
• Develop and track project plans for infrastructure upgrades, ensuring timely delivery within scope.
