Kubernetes Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a highly experienced Kubernetes Engineer to lead large‑scale migrations from Rancher‑managed clusters to Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). You will ensure seamless, zero‑downtime transitions while maintaining high availability, scalability, and secure CI/CD‑driven deployments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the migration of workloads from Rancher to AKS, assessing configurations, namespaces, and dependencies.
• Refactor container images and manifests for AKS compatibility and optimize resource allocation.
• Design production‑grade AKS architectures with multi‑node pools, zones, auto‑scaling, and secure networking.
• Integrate deployments into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or GitLab CI and implement GitOps (ArgoCD/Flux).
• Design and manage ingress solutions with NGINX Ingress Controller and HAProxy gateways, ensuring SSL termination and fault tolerance.
• Configure Kubernetes networking, CNI, network policies, TLS, secrets, and RBAC; integrate Azure AD, Key Vault, and Private Endpoints.
• Implement observability using Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, and Log Analytics; define SLIs/SLOs and alerting.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and cluster lifecycle with Terraform and ARM/Bicep.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading enterprise‑scale Kubernetes migrations, especially Rancher to AKS.
• Deep hands‑on expertise with containerization, Kubernetes operations, and multi‑tenant architecture.
• Strong collaboration skills with DevOps, application, and cloud architecture teams.
