Life400 Developer – IBM i/AS400 Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Life400 Developer to design, develop, maintain, and support enterprise applications on the IBM i / AS400 platform. The role involves translating business requirements into reliable technical solutions and collaborating closely with both business stakeholders and technical teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain applications in the Life400 / AS400 environment.
• Analyse business requirements and convert them into technical specifications.
• Develop and support RPG, RPGLE, CL, SQL, and DB2‑based applications.
• Perform system enhancements, debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation.
• Collaborate with business users, analysts, and cross‑functional teams to address operational needs.
• Participate in system integration, data migration, and application modernisation initiatives.
• Ensure application reliability, security, and compliance with organisational standards.
• Prepare technical documentation, design specifications, and support manuals.
• Support production deployments, issue resolution, and post‑implementation activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and process optimisation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience working in IBM i / AS400 environments.
• Strong experience with Life400 development and support.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
