Principal/Senior Lecturer & Consultant – Data Science

About the role

We are seeking a senior data science expert to join NUS-ISS as a Principal/Senior Lecturer and Consultant. In this full‑time position you will shape executive education and graduate programmes, mentor working professionals, and drive industry‑focused research.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver executive and graduate courses in data science, AI and analytics that are practical and future‑ready.
• Create immersive learning experiences through hands‑on labs, real‑world case studies, simulations and project work.
• Engage with industry partners to understand evolving business challenges and tailor curriculum accordingly.
• Provide thought leadership by speaking at conferences, contributing to professional communities and influencing NUS‑ISS strategic direction.
• Mentor learners on projects, career pathways and applied research, supporting internships and capstone outcomes.

Required profile

• PhD or equivalent in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, AI or a related field.
• 10+ years of hands‑on experience in data science, AI or analytics, preferably in banking, fintech, insurance or investment banking.
• Strong track record of leading applied projects that deliver measurable business impact.
• Confidence engaging senior professionals and adapting to diverse learning environments.
• Continuous learning mindset and curiosity about emerging technologies.
