Production Superintendent

About the role

The Production Superintendent is responsible for leading all topside production activities on board an operating FPSO. You will ensure safe, efficient operation of the plant, meet production targets, and act as the main liaison between the offshore team, shore base, clients and vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the Production Plan while operating the plant within design parameters and reporting any deviations.
• Collaborate with shore‑base specialists and offshore departments to deliver contractual production obligations.
• Serve as the primary contact for client and vendor requests in production areas, reviewing and authorising changes.
• Analyse production shortfalls, identify responsibility boundaries, and propose corrective actions.
• Lead, coach and evaluate the production team, ensuring clear objectives, performance monitoring and competency development.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years as a Production or Operations Superintendent on an FPSO.
• Chemical Engineering or Oil & Gas processing degree.
• 10–15 years of experience with offshore hydrocarbon processing and utility systems.
• Proven supervisory experience with Permit‑to‑Work, mechanical/electrical isolation and risk assessment procedures.
• Willingness to be deployed overseas and work onboard an FPSO.
• Strong English communication skills and exemplary safety leadership.
