Room Service Kitchen Commis

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Kitchen Commis to join the Room Service Kitchen at The Ritz‑Carlton Millenia Singapore. In this full‑time role you will support the culinary team by preparing ingredients, cooking and plating dishes to the brand’s high standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and portion ingredients, wash, peel and cut fresh fruits and vegetables.
• Weigh, measure and mix ingredients according to recipes and food preparation checklists.
• Cook hot and cold dishes, operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers, and test foods for doneness.
• Monitor food quality, ensure correct portioning and presentation, and serve dishes to appropriate receptacles.
• Set up and break down work stations, clean and disinfect kitchen areas, tools, knives and equipment.
• Check and maintain correct temperatures of appliances and food items.
• Follow all company safety, security and hygiene policies and report any issues.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of relevant kitchen or food‑service experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk and lift objects up to 25 lb throughout the shift.
