Senior Consultant – AI & Data (Data Engineer)

About the role

Deloitte’s Artificial Intelligence & Data team in Southeast Asia is looking for a Senior Consultant to lead the design and delivery of intelligent automation and data solutions. You will work with clients across multiple industries to turn large data sets into actionable insights and drive AI‑enabled business outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the creation, sale and delivery of IA solutions such as robotic process automation, intelligent character recognition, chatbots and AI models.
• Design and implement data structures for Big Data, analytical models and traditional BI/DW reporting using technologies like Microsoft SQL, Oracle, SAP, Cloudera and IBM Watson.
• Develop data integration pipelines, applying data governance, data quality, MDM and metadata management principles.
• Apply predictive analytical models with tools such as DataRobot and programming languages like Python or R.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure solutions are practical, visionary and deliver impact from back‑office operations to the boardroom.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a data engineer or consultant in AI/analytics projects.
• Demonstrated ability to work across diverse sectors (energy, public, financial services, life sciences, manufacturing, telecom, etc.).
• Strong communication skills to translate industry requirements into technical solutions.
