Academic Staff – Cybersecurity (Faculty/Professional Officer)

About the role

Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) is seeking Academic Staff in Cybersecurity to strengthen its applied‑learning environment. The role can be appointed at a faculty or professional officer rank, depending on experience, and focuses on teaching, curriculum development, and translational research, with a particular emphasis on Threat Operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deliver and continuously improve cybersecurity programmes that meet academic rigour and industry relevance.
• Integrate current industry practices into hands‑on learning experiences and the Integrated Work Study Programme.
• Lead or co‑lead translational research projects in collaboration with industry partners.
• Provide technical expertise for prototype development, implementation and deployment of security solutions.
• Mentor students and junior staff, fostering a competency‑based learning culture.

Required profile

• Strong academic credentials or substantial professional experience in cybersecurity.
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical knowledge into effective teaching and applied research.
• Experience working with industry, government or operational cyber‑security teams is highly valued.
