Accountant (1 Year Contract)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant on a 1‑year contract to lead our finance team. The role involves overseeing the full spectrum of financial accounting, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and delivering accurate management reports.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise a team of Accounts Receivable staff.
• Lead monthly financial closing processes and prepare/review management reports.
• Prepare, review, and follow up on balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Produce quarterly statements, year‑end statutory reports and tax computations.
• Assist in forecasting, budgeting and maintaining internal controls.
• Support ad‑hoc projects assigned by the Finance Manager or Financial Controller.

Required profile

• Degree in Accountancy or ACCA (or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in FMCG or retail, with team‑leadership responsibilities.
• Proven experience working with an ERP/Oracle integrated system.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal abilities.
