Accountant

About the role

The Accountant will support day‑to‑day accounting and finance operations for Lalamove's Singapore entity. You will maintain accurate records, process payments, perform reconciliations, and ensure timely statutory and management reporting in line with Singapore regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a complete set of accounting records for the Singapore entity.
• Perform bank, balance‑sheet and other reconciliations.
• Manage weekly payment cycles, including staff claims, driver cash‑outs and supplier invoices.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing, preparing journal entries and schedules.
• Liaise with HQ on accounting matters and resolve finance‑related queries.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly and monthly financial reports to management and HQ.
• Prepare Singapore GST returns and support statutory audits.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements and internal finance policies.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related discipline.
• 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Familiarity with Singapore GST, accounting standards and local statutory requirements.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate within a multicultural team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Required skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using Oracle (preferred).
