Android Engineer – Spend

About the role

Wise’s Spend Squad builds products that let customers spend money anywhere in the world. As an Android Engineer you will own the development of high‑traffic, customer‑facing features for Wise’s card offering, delivering a seamless experience across more than 40 countries.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with backend, frontend and product teams to design and ship new Android features.
• Implement core user flows such as card ordering, transactions, 3‑DS authentication and dispute resolution.
• Write clean, maintainable code and champion mobile best practices across the tribe.
• Contribute to technical planning, scalability and roadmap decisions for the Spend product.
• Work in a transparent, ownership‑driven environment with globally distributed peers.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of hands‑on experience developing Android applications.
• Proven track record of shipping high‑performing, customer‑focused mobile apps.
• Data‑driven mindset with a passion for improving the customer experience.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Collaborative attitude thriving in a globally distributed squad.
