Assistant Manager – Financial Controller (Singapore/Malaysia)

About the role

Sephora is seeking an Assistant Manager – Financial Controller to support its Singapore and Malaysia markets. The role will handle group, statutory and regulatory reporting, tax filings, and lead the market’s financial control environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit accurate financial reports in line with group, statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring compliance and accurate financial statements.
• Conduct variance analysis, compare actual results with budgets/forecasts and recommend corrective actions.
• Support preparation and submission of tax filings, ensuring compliance with local tax laws.
• Identify and manage tax risks, staying updated on regulations and working with advisors.
• Lead the financial control environment, implementing robust internal controls.
• Collaborate with the APAC internal audit team to address financial risks.
• Monitor cost control processes and ensure operations stay within budget.
• Analyze historical financial data to ensure accuracy and adherence to policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
• Professional certification such as CPA or CFA is advantageous.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in accounting and financial reporting, including month‑end and year‑end close.
• Experience with tax filing and compliance.
