Assistant Manager / Manager – Finance Planning & Reporting

About the role

The Finance Planning and Reporting function at the Civil Service College supports financial governance, reporting and resource planning. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, drives budgeting and forecasting cycles and provides advisory support to senior management, enabling data‑driven decisions and continuous improvement of finance processes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports with variance analysis and commentary for senior management.
• Coordinate the annual external audit, preparing statutory statements, audit schedules and liaising with auditors.
• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting exercise, consolidating departmental submissions and delivering analysis for decision‑making.
• Prepare and submit quarterly GST returns, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Partner with departments and finance coordinators to interpret financial data, recommend improvements and enforce policies.
• Analyse financial data using Excel and visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau to enhance insights.
• Drive process improvements and optimise finance workflows through digital tools.
