Assistant Manager – Training (Financial Services)

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Training will design, develop and deliver training programmes for the INCOME sales force, ensuring they meet business objectives and regulatory requirements. This role combines curriculum design, competency assessment and stakeholder collaboration to enhance sales performance across life, health and wealth management solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver training programmes using various methodologies to meet the needs of the sales force.
• Create competency assessment tools for competency‑based learning.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of training interventions and regularly review training material for compliance.
• Develop ad‑hoc training programmes and e‑learning modules aligned with business goals.
• Manage all levels of distribution training, including new‑hire induction, soft‑skills, product and sales advisory process training.
• Build rapport with stakeholders, communicate training standards and facilitate transfer of classroom learning to the workplace.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to achieve business objectives.
• Monitor and measure training KPIs.
• Maintain professional knowledge through workshops, publications and professional networks.
• Undertake any additional projects or tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Degree in any discipline.
• CMFAS M5, M9, M9A and a Certificate in Health Insurance (mandatory).
• Advanced Certificate in Training & Assessment (preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of sales experience and/or 3 years of sales‑training experience in the financial services industry.
• Experience developing and delivering financial planning and sales training programmes.
• Experience selling or training on life insurance, health insurance and wealth‑management solutions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• CMFAS certifications (M5, M9, M9A).
• Certificate in Health Insurance.
• Advanced Certificate in Training & Assessment (preferred).
