Assistant Producer (Chinese Drama Production)

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Producer to support the production of Chinese drama series, collaborating closely with the Producer and Executive Producer throughout pre‑production, production and post‑production phases.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Producer and Executive Producer in all pre‑production, production and post‑production matters.
• Coordinate liaison work with internal production units and external partners.
• Prepare and break down finalized scripts, schedule meetings, scout locations, and attend casting, set‑design and rehearsal sessions.
• Support on‑site or in‑studio operations, including crew, cast and crowd management.
• Requisition, organise and ensure readiness of props and costumes, maintaining continuity throughout filming.
• Assist post‑production tasks such as dialogue dubbing, VFX, and credit roll preparation.

Required profile

• GCE "A" level or Diploma holder with a strong interest in the media industry.
• Preferably at least 1 year of experience in TV or film production, though enthusiastic newcomers are welcome.
• Willingness to work irregular hours when required.
• Fluent in reading, writing and speaking Chinese for effective communication with Chinese‑speaking teams.
• Basic proficiency in English (reading, writing and conversation).
