Associate Engineer – Fibre Routing

About the role

The Associate Engineer will support Singtel Networks' commercial teams by delivering accurate and cost‑effective fibre routing proposals for hyperscaler and data‑centre customers. This pre‑sales position bridges technical feasibility with business requirements, ensuring network solutions are viable, optimised, and aligned with operational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present fibre routing proposals for hyperscaler customers, balancing technical feasibility and cost efficiency.
• Plan infrastructure for pipeline connections and fibre deployments, including top‑up of existing fibre routes.
• Supervise contractors in laying new pipes, top‑up works, and ensure compliance with engineering instructions and safety procedures.
• Attend site meetings with public bodies, service agencies, and developers to coordinate underground plant provisions.
• Manage order processing for fibre‑based products using internal systems.
• Oversee contractors for fibre splicing, termination, patching, and testing to ensure service readiness.
• Ensure all reports and documentation are completed promptly after work completion.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of fibre infrastructure and telecom network planning.
• Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders, including contractors, building managers, and public agencies.
• Attention to detail and commitment to meeting project timelines.
• Knowledge of safety regulations (WHSA) and ability to enforce safe work practices.
