Associate Professor (Tenure‑Track) – Computer Science

About the role

The School of Computing and Information Systems (SCIS) at Singapore Management University is seeking a full‑time tenure‑track Associate Professor in Computer Science & Engineering. The successful candidate will join a vibrant faculty team and contribute to teaching, research and service across core and integrative research domains.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver undergraduate and graduate courses in Computer Science and related areas.
• Establish an independent research programme aligned with SCIS strategic areas such as AI Governance, AI in Cybersecurity, Embodied AI, Quantum Computing, Smart Financial Technology and Green Computing.
• Secure external research funding and publish in top‑tier venues.
• Supervise graduate students and post‑doctoral researchers.
• Participate in departmental service, curriculum development and academic committees.
• Collaborate with industry and interdisciplinary partners.

Required profile

• Doctorate (PhD) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated potential for high‑impact research in one or more of the listed areas.
• Strong commitment to teaching excellence at university level.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
• International research experience and a record of publications in reputable venues.
