Audit Manager

About the role

Anchorage Assurance is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to lead audit engagements across Singapore and the wider Asian region. You will be responsible for overseeing the full audit lifecycle, from planning and risk assessment to final reporting, while ensuring compliance with local standards and delivering high‑quality results for clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of audit engagements from planning through completion and reporting.
• Ensure audits comply with Singapore Standards on Auditing, applicable financial reporting standards, and the firm’s quality policies.
• Review audit working papers, resolve technical accounting issues, and communicate significant findings to the engagement partner.
• Supervise, coach, and develop audit staff, providing timely performance feedback.
• Coordinate with clients, component auditors, and other stakeholders to meet engagement deadlines.
• Manage engagement budgets, staffing, and work allocation.
• Identify opportunities to improve audit quality and efficiency.
• Support client proposals and business development activities.

Required profile

• Degree in Accountancy or a recognised professional qualification (CA Singapore, ACCA, CPA or equivalent).
• At least five years of external audit experience, including supervising teams and managing engagements.
• Strong analytical, communication and client‑management abilities.
• Experience with group audits and consolidation is an advantage.
• Prior experience with a mid‑sized audit firm or a Big Four firm is a plus.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Singapore Standards on Auditing.
• Knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS(I)).
