About the role

Join ByteDance's Applied Machine Learning (AML) team as a Backend Applied Machine Learning Engineer Graduate. You will help build and evolve the central console platform that supports AI‑related engineering workflows, ensuring high availability and automation of large‑scale machine‑learning services.

Key responsibilities

Develop and maintain Lagrange, the core console platform for AI engineering workflows.
Analyze user needs and design software solutions that improve platform architecture, scalability, and operational intelligence.
Create infrastructure and pipeline capabilities that make large‑scale AI development more efficient and reliable.
Collaborate with system engineers on capacity‑decision making and performance analysis.

Required profile

Currently completing or recently graduated with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Strong coding abilities and good coding practices.
Basic troubleshooting and performance‑tuning experience with storage and middleware systems.
