Backend Engineer (Singapore)

About the role

Plaud Inc. is building an AI work companion that helps professionals capture, extract and use information from what they say, hear, see and think. As a Backend Engineer based in Singapore you will join a fast‑growing, profitable team to shape the next‑generation intelligence infrastructure that powers our global products.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend systems that support data‑compliance and overseas‑marketing workflows.
• Translate complex business requirements into scalable, high‑quality technical solutions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional product, data and operations teams to define and refine system architecture.
• Continuously monitor, troubleshoot and optimise production services to ensure reliability and performance.
• Leverage AWS services such as Lambda, S3 and RDS to improve scalability and efficiency.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional backend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python, Go or Java.
• Solid understanding of backend frameworks, development tools and version‑control systems.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS cloud services and cloud‑native architectures.
• Ability to design and implement technical solutions based on system architecture.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to deliver results in a fast‑paced environment.
