Business Development Assistant Manager/Manager (Construction)

About the role

Shimizu Corporation is seeking a Business Development Assistant Manager/Manager to drive growth in the construction sector. The role focuses on market intelligence, tender pursuit, and strategic client relationships across key industries such as data centres, semiconductor, healthcare, and mixed‑use developments.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct proactive market research to identify project pipelines and synthesize data into actionable insights.
• Maintain an opportunity tracking system and advise management on market entry strategies.
• Secure early tender intelligence, lead go/no‑go assessments, and develop win strategies.
• Facilitate Early Contractor Involvement and position Shimizu as the preferred partner.
• Build and sustain long‑term relationships with developers, end‑users, consultants, and industry stakeholders.
• Represent Shimizu at industry events, promote core capabilities, and maintain a network of influencers.
• Manage client experience throughout project lifecycles and ensure timely issue resolution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Business Administration, Real Estate or a related field.
• More than 5 years of proven experience in business development, project development or high‑level sales within construction, engineering or property development.
• Deep functional knowledge of the Singapore construction landscape and procurement ecosystem.
• Strong existing network of relationships with developers, data‑centre and semiconductor operators, and other key stakeholders.
