Capability Development Manager

About the role

Heineken is seeking a Capability Development Manager to lead sales capability transformation across its Asia Pacific Business Services (APBS). The role will design and deliver training, coaching and development programmes that boost sales effectiveness and support sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead sales transformation initiatives aligned with the capability roadmap.
• Develop and roll out onboarding frameworks, playbooks and sales tools.
• Design and deliver structured sales training and coaching sessions.
• Conduct field accompaniment and capability assessments to identify performance gaps.
• Coach frontline sales, field managers and key stakeholders to build talent pipelines.
• Partner with Sales, Trade Marketing and other functions to drive customer‑centric initiatives.
• Analyse sales performance trends, EOE data and market opportunities to pinpoint execution gaps.
• Recommend and implement short‑term improvements and long‑term capability solutions.
• Measure training effectiveness and ensure alignment with business strategy.
• Develop recommendations for outlet contract management to improve compliance.

Required profile

• 5‑10 years of experience in FMCG, with 4‑6 years managing a field salesforce.
• Strong background in change management or business transformation.
• Proven ability to act as an internal consultant and advisor.
• Assertive, tactful and professional communication style.
• Energetic, enthusiastic and charismatic personality to motivate teams.
