Chief Medical Officer (CMO) – Hospital Leadership

About the role

The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) will lead all clinical and medical operations at Dushanbe International Hospital, a new 163‑bed multidisciplinary facility in Tajikistan. Reporting to senior management, the CMO ensures the highest standards of patient care, safety, and regulatory compliance while fostering a culture of clinical excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily clinical and medical operations across all departments.
• Supervise, manage, and motivate doctors and clinical teams.
• Ensure quality of patient care and adherence to medical standards.
• Develop and implement clinical policies, protocols, and medical strategies.
• Lead medical staff training, mentoring, and performance‑improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with department heads to improve operational efficiency.
• Support accreditation, licensing, and regulatory compliance processes.
• Participate in strategic planning and hospital development initiatives.

Required profile

• Medical Doctor (MD) degree with a valid medical license.
• Minimum 10 years of hospital experience.
• At least 5 years of leadership experience in government or private hospitals.
• Proven track record in managing, motivating, and developing doctors and clinical staff.
• Strong experience in medical training and clinical supervision.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and decision‑making abilities.
• Deep understanding of hospital operations, quality standards, and patient safety.
