Civil/Structural Construction Specialist III – Mining Inspector

About the role

Worley is seeking a Civil/Structural Construction Specialist III to act as a Specialist Mining Inspector for its Singapore operations. The role involves daily inspection and supervision of both temporary and permanent mining works, including trenchless construction methods, to ensure compliance with standards, safety requirements and project schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Provide daily on‑site inspection and close‑standing supervision of all mining construction activities.
• Conduct daily safety inspections and verify contractor compliance with health‑and‑safety policies.
• Monitor and review contractor checklists, logs, equipment, manpower and material resources.
• Report progress, deviations and ground condition changes to the Subject Matter Expert (SME) each day.
• Supervise modification, additional and rectification works and ensure adherence to approved method statements.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising box tunnels near existing bored tunnels and MRT stations.
• Hands‑on knowledge of trenchless construction methods such as micro‑tunnelling, front jacking, faceless tunnelling, mining and box jacking.
• Familiarity with the Building Control Act and relevant authority requirements.
• Ability to assess contractor adequacy in equipment, manpower and material resources.
