Cloud Administrator

About the role

The Cloud Administrator will support the administration, monitoring, security, and maintenance of Microsoft Azure GCC cloud environments. You will work closely with cloud, infrastructure, database, and security teams to ensure secure, stable, and efficient cloud operations.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and monitor Azure resources, subscriptions, resource groups, and policies.
• Manage Azure Virtual Machines (Windows/Linux) and SQL Server hosted on Azure VMs.
• Support Azure SQL Database, perform database monitoring, backup verification, and basic troubleshooting.
• Monitor cloud infrastructure using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Alerts.
• Maintain Azure networking components such as VNets, NSGs, Route Tables, VPN Gateways, Private Endpoints, and Private DNS Zones.
• Manage Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), RBAC, MFA, and access controls.
• Perform vulnerability management, including security patching, OS hardening, assessment, remediation tracking, and closure of findings.
• Assist with backup, recovery, patching, and operational health checks.
• Develop and maintain basic automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, and Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Troubleshoot cloud, server, networking, and database‑related issues.
• Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and runbooks.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Azure services.
• Understanding of Azure SQL Database and SQL Server administration.
• Experience with Windows Server and RHEL/Linux administration.
• Familiarity with Azure networking fundamentals.
• Basic scripting experience using PowerShell and Azure CLI.
• Understanding of cloud security, identity management, and access controls.
