Cloud and DevOps Engineer (AWS)

About the role

Activate Interactive is looking for a Cloud and DevOps Engineer to design, build and maintain the cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines that power our web and mobile applications. You will work closely with development teams, Tech Leads and Project Managers to ensure reliable, secure and efficient delivery of solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline) for automated build, test and deployment.
• Provision, configure and manage AWS services (EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudFront) using infrastructure‑as‑code.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning with Terraform, CloudFormation or Ansible.
• Manage containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes/ECS.
• Set up monitoring, logging and alerting (CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK) to ensure system availability.
• Implement security best practices across infrastructure and pipelines, including IAM policies and secrets management.
• Support release management, coordinate deployments and rollbacks, and troubleshoot environment issues.
• Optimize cloud costs and resource utilization, and document architecture and runbooks.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS cloud services.
• Proven ability to work with CI/CD tools and infrastructure‑as‑code frameworks.
• Experience in containerization, orchestration and monitoring solutions.
• Ability to enforce security standards and support compliance audits.
