Construction Manager, Data Center Facilities Development JAPAC

About the role

The Construction Manager will lead the delivery of data centre projects for colocation providers across the JAPAC region, ensuring they are completed on schedule, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead construction planning and execution for multiple data centre projects.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and coordinate milestone delivery.
• Create and manage project budgets, optimizing resource allocation.
• Produce and maintain design review, commissioning and problem‑solving documentation.
• Implement quality control processes to meet design specifications and industry standards.
• Coordinate tenant fit‑out integration and conduct detailed site walks.
• Lead startup and commissioning phases, ensuring all systems are operational.
• Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies and monitor risk profiles.
• Serve as primary liaison with colocation providers and resolve routine issues.
• Negotiate, select and manage contracts with vendors, contractors and suppliers.
• Oversee installation of power, cooling, networking and structured cabling systems.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading data centre construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction standards and industry best practices.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and coordination skills.
• Experience with risk identification, assessment and mitigation.
• Familiarity with contract negotiation and vendor management.
