Construction Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Construction Manager to lead large‑scale construction projects in Singapore. The role involves overseeing all on‑site activities, ensuring safety, schedule adherence, budget control, and delivery of the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage on‑site construction from mobilisation to handover.
• Develop and implement execution plans aligned with project objectives, programme, budget and quality requirements.
• Coordinate contractors, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers and internal teams.
• Monitor progress, identify risks and apply mitigation strategies to minimise delays.
• Ensure works comply with approved drawings, specifications, contracts and statutory regulations.
• Promote a strong HSE culture and ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health regulations.
• Manage site resources, labour, equipment and materials for optimal productivity.
• Review construction methodologies to improve safety, quality and programme performance.
• Lead coordination meetings and provide regular progress updates to senior management and clients.
• Collaborate with Project, Design, Cost and Commissioning teams to resolve issues.
• Approve subcontractor work plans, method statements and risk assessments.
• Monitor budgets, cost forecasts, variations and resource utilisation.
• Implement quality assurance and control procedures throughout construction.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning activities and project handover.
• Maintain documentation, reports and site records.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of construction management experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record delivering large‑scale projects in Singapore.
• Experience in Data Centres, Industrial, Semiconductor, Commercial, Healthcare or Mission‑Critical environments is highly preferred.
