Cost Controller

About the role

The Cost Controller will support Sunset Hospitality Group’s Singapore cluster, covering METT Singapore and SUSHISAMBA. Reporting to finance, the role ensures accurate inventory records, controls food and beverage costs, and contributes to the profitability of the venues.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control food & beverage costs by identifying waste, pilferage, and inefficiencies.
• Prepare cost variance analyses and communicate trends and recommendations.
• Maintain up‑to‑date receiving and inventory records in the designated systems.
• Review and improve existing cost control procedures.
• Produce daily cost reports and monthly management reports.
• Coordinate scheduled and ad‑hoc inventory stock takes.
• Verify material issues are authorized and supported by departmental approvals.
• Liaise with operations, purchasing, stores, and finance to resolve cost and inventory matters.
• Inspect deliveries against purchase orders, record discrepancies, and manage distribution.
• Conduct storeroom inspections and monitor cycle counts, escalating significant issues.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Hospitality Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Cost Controller, Cost Analyst or similar role within hospitality or related industry.
