Cybersecurity Engineer – 2-year Contract

About the role

GovTech is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to strengthen the security posture of Singapore’s Smart Nation initiatives. The role is a two‑year contract focused on managing security vendors, conducting testing, and providing consultancy across the agency’s digital platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Manage security vendors, deliverables and periodic security testing.
• Assess, prioritize and implement mitigation and remediation actions.
• Review security reports, policies, standards, procedures and guidelines.
• Provide cybersecurity consultancy and respond to security alerts and advisories.
• Handle security incidents and conduct security awareness training.
• Broadcast email security advisories to the organisation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity or related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience as a cybersecurity analyst or similar role.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Knowledge of cloud security concepts for AWS, Azure and GCP.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP and/or CISM (preferred).
