Cybersecurity Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to join a global technology organisation that delivers critical public‑sector projects. The role involves designing, implementing and maintaining security solutions that protect the company’s technology landscape.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute cybersecurity strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Monitor networks for security breaches, investigate incidents and manage cyber‑incident response.
• Perform vulnerability management and remediation activities.
• Ensure compliance with relevant cybersecurity regulations and industry standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams to design secure systems and processes.
• Evaluate, recommend and integrate new security tools and technologies.
• Document security policies, procedures and maintain up‑to‑date records.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on security best practices.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
• Experience with security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems and antivirus software.
• Knowledge of network protocols and infrastructure.
• Familiarity with compliance standards applicable to the technology and telecom sector.
• Problem‑solving mindset with attention to detail.
• Relevant certifications or formal qualifications in cybersecurity or a related field.
