Data Engineer

About the role

Asendia is seeking a Data Engineer to join its Global Data Services team. In this hands‑on position you will design, build and maintain scalable data solutions that turn diverse data sources into trusted, actionable insights for finance, operations, forecasting and performance management.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
• Create and optimise data models, data warehouses and analytical solutions.
• Integrate data from multiple internal and external sources while ensuring data quality, governance and reliability.
• Build Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions to support business decision‑making.
• Use Python and SQL for data processing, automation and integration.
• Support AI/ML, forecasting and predictive‑analytics use cases.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into practical data solutions.
• Continuously improve the performance, scalability and reliability of the data platform.

Required profile

• Strong experience with SQL, Python, ETL/ELT and data modelling.
• Experience with cloud‑based data platforms and data‑warehousing/lakehouse solutions.
• Good knowledge of Power BI or comparable BI tools.
• Understanding of modern data architectures and AI/ML fundamentals.
• Proven ability to work with business requirements and stakeholders.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving skills.
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
