Data Scientist – WeChat

About the role

Join the WeChat team in Singapore and help shape the data‑driven future of one of the world’s largest messaging platforms. You will work on both quantitative and qualitative data to uncover insights that improve user experience and drive product innovation across the global WeChat ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Explore and analyze large structured and unstructured data sets to generate actionable insights and identify business opportunities.
• Collect, clean, validate, and transform data from diverse sources to ensure high‑quality inputs for analysis.
• Design, build, and maintain dashboards, reports, and automated data pipelines for continuous business monitoring.
• Interpret findings, create story‑boards, and communicate insights to stakeholders for data‑driven decision making.
• Own and evolve computer‑vision infrastructure, including model training/serving pipelines, evaluation frameworks, and related toolchains.
• Develop and deploy computer‑vision solutions such as image/video understanding, OCR, content moderation, and multimodal analysis.
• Leverage large language model (LLM) techniques and other machine‑learning approaches to enhance analytical capabilities and intelligent product features.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Hands‑on experience developing LLM applications (e.g., fine‑tuning, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation, agent frameworks).
• Familiarity with computer‑vision models such as object detection, image classification, and multimodal architectures.

Required skills
