Demi Chef – The Kitchen Table

About the role

The Demi Chef will support the kitchen team at The Kitchen Table, preparing special meals, maintaining food quality, and ensuring smooth service during busy periods. This full‑time, on‑site position reports to the Chef and collaborates closely with Food & Beverage staff.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards.
• Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills and roasters; pull and thaw frozen items.
• Maintain portion control, food garnish, and food logs.
• Communicate menu specials, out‑of‑stock items and excess food to the Chef and service staff.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling and employee coaching.
• Follow safety, security and sanitation policies; report incidents and complete required certifications.
• Uphold professional uniform standards and protect company assets.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 lb, standing for extended periods and reaching overhead.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree in culinary arts or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant kitchen experience.
• No prior supervisory experience required.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and follow detailed instructions.
