Design Manager – Civil & Structural Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead design activities for large‑scale, complex building projects. The role involves overseeing the full design lifecycle, from tendering through to commissioning, ensuring compliance with client and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design team and review shop drawings for civil and structural (C&S) works.
• Manage design deliverables, including submissions, approvals, procurement, construction, erection, installation, testing and commissioning.
• Identify project risks, optimise designs and coordinate changes.
• Provide practical construction solutions and liaise with QPD/QPS and clients on engineering proposals.
• Control BIM, technical, contractual and cost aspects of design deliverables.
• Supervise subcontractor design teams and ensure design clearance.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• At least 10 years of design coordination experience within an A1 main‑contractor environment, including managerial responsibilities.
• Strong technical expertise and proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
