Designer, AI Programme

About the role

GovTech is building Singapore’s Smart Nation by embedding AI across public services. As an AI Programme Designer, you will shape next‑generation AI‑powered experiences used by government officers and developers, turning complex workflows into intuitive, trustworthy products.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct user research and discovery activities to uncover the needs and pain points of public officers across ministries.
• Plan and run usability testing, surveys, workshops and other participatory methods to validate concepts.
• Synthesise research findings into actionable insights and communicate them to product and engineering teams.
• Design conversational and task‑oriented AI assistants that enhance efficiency while maintaining transparency and human oversight.
• Improve AI platform tools and workflows that enable teams to build, evaluate and deploy AI applications at scale.
• Develop reusable design systems and interaction patterns for consistent AI experiences across products.

Required profile

• Proven product design experience, preferably in digital or AI‑focused products.
• Strong research mindset, comfortable with both qualitative and quantitative methods.
• Ability to collaborate closely with designers, product managers, engineers and data scientists.
• Passion for shaping product direction through experimentation, iteration and user‑centred design.
