DevOps Engineer – DataSphere Platform (AWS GCC)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join the team supporting DataSphere, a data lakehouse solution hosted on the AWS Government Commercial Cloud (GCC). The role focuses on building robust CI/CD pipelines, implementing Infrastructure‑as‑Code, and ensuring strict government security and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimise CI/CD pipelines using the SHIP‑HATS tools ecosystem and GitLab.
• Implement code quality gates with SonarQube and manage security scanning with Fortify on Demand and Nexus IQ.
• Coordinate security compliance scanning and remediation with CloudSCAPE.
• Implement Infrastructure‑as‑Code using Terraform and other approved tools.
• Maintain automated baseline log review, central accounts management, and vulnerability management processes.
• Monitor platform performance, manage secrets and encryption key rotation, and configure alert notifications.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, security teams, and government stakeholders to deliver platform enhancements and support training environments.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on DevOps engineering experience.
• Strong experience with AWS services in a government‑grade environment.
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional teams and adhere to strict security and data‑protection standards.
