Director of Rooms – Hotel Operations

About the role

The Director of Rooms leads the strategic direction of the Rooms department, ensuring brand standards, guest satisfaction, and financial performance are achieved across the property.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute departmental strategies aligned with the brand’s service vision and business goals.
• Monitor room rates, specials, and promotions to drive occupancy and revenue.
• Analyze financial performance, audit expenses, and manage profitability against budget.
• Coach and support the Rooms team to optimize wages, controllable costs, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure exceptional guest service by reviewing feedback, handling complaints, and implementing corrective actions.
• Lead HR activities including recruitment, performance reviews, employee communication, and talent development.

Required profile

• 2‑year degree in Business Administration, Hotel & Restaurant Management or related field with 4 years relevant experience, OR a 4‑year bachelor’s degree with 2 years relevant experience.
• Proven experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, sales & marketing, or management operations within a hotel environment.
