Early Intervention Educator

About the role

The Early Intervention Educator will deliver individualized and group lessons to children with developmental and special needs, working under the guidance of senior teachers and the reporting manager. The role involves planning, implementing, and reviewing educational programmes while maintaining strong communication with caregivers.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and conduct individual and group lessons, develop and review IEPs and progress reports.
• Design culturally appropriate activities and learning environments.
• Conduct home and centre visits for case management and provide classroom field trips.
• Monitor attendance, health checks, and maintain classroom safety.
• Prepare reports for home visits, discharges, and special education applications.
• Lead case discussions with caregivers, teachers, and therapists.
• Mentor assistant teachers and aides, manage classroom inventory, and ensure a clean learning environment.
• Participate in staff training, deliver caregiver workshops, and support organisational events.

Required profile

• Minimum Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Intervention, Special Education, or Early Childhood Education.
• Specialist Diploma in Early Childhood Intervention (Special Needs) preferred.
• Strong interest in working with children with developmental or special needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; a collaborative team player.
