Electrical Design Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a driven Electrical Design Engineer to join the Design & Development team in Singapore. You will develop and modify electrical and control systems for advanced industrial machinery, working closely with cross‑functional engineering and manufacturing teams to deliver reliable, production‑ready solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for industrial machinery, including power distribution, control panels, servo drives, motors, sensors, I/O and safety circuits.
• Create and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts and bills of materials.
• Manage customer‑driven design changes and engineering modifications from concept through to production.
• Evaluate and refine PLC programmes.
• Collaborate with Production, Manufacturing and Quality teams to resolve technical issues and improve manufacturability.
• Support post‑launch technical improvements based on customer feedback.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in electrical design within machine tools, automation equipment or robotics.
• Hands‑on experience with PLC programming.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and capacity to work across complex mechanical and electrical systems.
• Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects.

Required skills

• PLC programming.
• Electrical CAD tools such as Unidraf X, EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent.
