Executive Engineer / Senior Executive Engineer – Bridges

About the role

We are looking for an Executive Engineer or Senior Executive Engineer to join our bridge engineering team. You will work alongside senior bridge engineers to design and analyse a variety of bridge components, ensuring safety and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and design bridge elements such as segmental box girders, post‑tensioned beams, precast crossheads, piers and foundations.
• Prepare sketches and collaborate with BIM modelers to produce Revit drawings and models, including general arrangement, concrete outlines and reinforcement details.
• Write technical reports and develop design calculation spreadsheets.
• Lead bridge inspection activities and guide junior engineers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 3‑4 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably with bridges or rail projects.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers.
• Basic drafting skills in CAD or Revit are a plus.

Required skills

• Design experience in bridges/rail structures.
• Proficiency with analysis software such as SOFiSTiK, MIDAS, RMBridge, StaadPRO, SAP2000.
• Knowledge of design codes (EC2, BS 5400, BS 5950, BS 8110).
• Capability to produce and review technical reports and design spreadsheets.
• Familiarity with Revit and CAD drafting (bonus).
